We haven’t spoken in several years, but I always enjoyed talking over life’s most important goings on. You were a below average basketball player, but had fun doing it. I will follow you here, and I hope our paths cross again soon in person.

Bob: I tried to fight my way through the crowd to greet you. Didn't make it but did manage to grab your wallet. You received good advice on the "open window" metaphor, however, be wary of open windows if you're ever in an upper-story Russian hotel. Your writing is better than ever! Phil

This was a generous way to involve all of us who have appreciated you for decades: Welcoming us onto your new journey ... my surrogate Big Brother. I will never forget the day you first became a father; you bombarded me on G Street at noon waving a blue bubblegum cigar with words, "I just had a baby boy. His name is Teddy. You should do this because it is FUN."

Thanks for posting, particularly the video... I was on River Cats duty that night. Not that I would have attended – knowing me, I would have roamed the streets looking for parking, realized it was a Wednesday, then given up.
