Aggie men and women return to the hardcourt this week
Men are home Tuesday against Menlo, women head to Stanford Wednesday
There will be plenty of college basketball for Aggie fans this week as UC Davis men's and women's teams return to action.
The Aggie men, 1-1, come home for the first time Tuesday night against Menlo College.
Game time in the University Credit Union Center is 6 p.m.
The men then head into the Atlantic Coast Conference on Sunday with a 1 p.m. date at Stanford.
The Aggie women, also 1-1, will be at Stanford Wednesday at 7 p.m., then travel to Bozeman Sunday to take on Montana State before coming home Nov. 20 for a 6 p.m. Causeway Classic battle with Sacramento State.
The men opened with two games on the road, dropping a 79-73 decision at Washington, then rallying late to take down Idaho, 79-75.
Senior guard TY Johnson is second in the nation in Division I scoring at 32.5 points a game and was named as the Big West Player of the Week.
Ryan Kalkbrenner of Creighton leads the nation at 36.5 points a game.
Pablo Tamba averages 12.0 points a game, while Niko Rocak adds 10.0 rebounds and 8.5 points. Leo DeBruhl has 9.5 points a game.
The Aggies have struggled from the field, hitting 38.6 percent of their field goals overall and just 24.1 percent from 3-point range.
