Major construction project in East Davis likely to affect property values, disrupt traffic
A neighbor needs our permission to proceed with an expansion project
And you think you have problems.
I don't know for sure if this is one of those "there goes the neighborhood" moments or not, but it certainly could be.
I mean, the City of Davis seems to think it was a big enough concern that my Sweetheart and I received an incredibly detailed three-page letter from City Hall that cost the taxpayers 69 cents in postage alone and thousands more in staff time to compose, edit, proofread and envelope-stuff this guided missive.
The ominous-looking letter was addressed to "Dunning Robert Jerome and Shelley," getting my last name completely backward and leaving my Sweetheart without a last name at all.
In truth, I think pretty much anything that arrives from the City of Davis looks ominous, much the way that any mailing from PG&E, the Yolo Superior Court or the IRS looks ominous.
