Thank you Bob for this beautiful tribute. Davis really needed this. Bill had such a full and generous life. His impact was huge in Davis, but went far beyond. Love to the entire Roe family from Cass and Craig.
Got his book 'All the Way to Lincoln Way' after his presentation to the 'Sunrise' Rotary group many years ago...will have to pull it out and give it a more thorough read....thanks for the very informative/respectful/endearing post!
What wonderful tribute to my longtime friend from years in Davis!
Fortunately we had brief reunion here in Friday Harbor, WA a couple of years ago while he & Nancy were here visiting and with Roger & Claudia Salquist.
I learned so much about Bill while writing this. I thought I knew him well, but was completely enriched by talking to others who knew him in so many other aspects of his life.
Bob, what a wonderful remembrance of Bill. I knew Bill and Nancy, of course, through their involvement with Aggie athletics, but wasn’t aware of the full breadth of their community involvement. A life truly well-lived.
Thank you so much for this Bob, though we've recently moved on from Davis these kind words embody so much that was great about the place and people there.

An unbelievable family.
Thank you, Bob. Your beautiful tribute to Bill touched my heart.
Thanks, Jane. Bill was one in a billion.

Thanks to the Roe family for the incredible people they are.
An epic tribute to an epic man. Thank you.
Thanks, Wendy.
Was an honor to have the opportunity to write about Bill
Great job Bob. You did a wonderful job capturing and sharing much about Bill and his spirit and contributions.
Thanks. Fond memories.
There are few like Bill.
What a difference he made in our little world
Thank you Bob. This article is so well written. You help us all to deal with this loss for the entire community.
It is indeed a loss for the whole community. Bill's efforts have touched so many lives in so many unique ways.

My prayers and love to Nancy and all the family.

This town is surrounding the Roe family with the love they so richly deserve.
The Salquists. Another great family.
Love Friday Harbor and the San Juans
Beautiful, Bob. Thank you.
Absolutely legendary article, for a legendary man. Thank you, Bob!
Bill was one of a kind. A legend indeed.
There’s no greater legacy to leave than kindness.
Amen, Sandy. You are so right.
You did an excellent job Bob. Sharing with us all so much we didn't know about Bill. Thanks.

Thanks Sandy.
The Roe family had a hand in virtually every worthwhile project in town and on the campus. We need more folks like them.
Bob, you said it so well. Bill and Nancy are local heroes. We were blessed by Bill, and continue to be blessed by Nancy, as fellow Davisites (sp?).
You said it, Ruth. Just imagine a neighorhood with a Roe family on every corner.
Thank you so much for this Bob, though we've recently moved on from Davis these kind words embody so much that was great about the place and people there.
It is a great place, Seth, and the Roe family is a big part of that.

Pure love. That's what Bill was.
